The Japanese Legend of the Red Thread of Fate.

 Legend says that fate connects people with a red thread on their little finger and regardless of time or distance, these people will meet and make a story, whether it's love or hate.

 The yarn can contract and curl, but never break. Those who are bound by fate are bound to create a story together. With each passing instant, the distance between those who are connected decreases.

 Until we find the other end of the red line, we are just lost souls in a romance with another lost soul.
